This customer came to us asking for an
entire landscape on beautiful Fort Myers Beach. Her house stood
alone on a nice corner lot with about 1/2 acre to use. She has a
taste for tropical plants and colors so we drew her up a plan and the
rest is history! Her landscape has been constantly improved for
the past 2 years!
Side yard (right to left): Pigmy Date
Palm (Phoenix roebellinii) with
Bougainvillea underneath. Cordyline 'Red Sister',
Giant False Agave (Furcraea gigantea),
another Pigmy Date with Blueberry Flax Lily underneath (Dianella
tasmanica), Bottle Palm triple (Hyophorbe
lagenicaulis) with orange
Aechmea blanchettiana bromeliad to the
left of that, and barely seen on the far left is a Spindle Palm (Hyophorbe
vershaffeltii) and Christmas Palm
triple (Adonidia merrilii).
Close-up of Giant False Agave (Furcraea
gigantea) her favorite plant!
This is basically a spineless Agave, or Century Plant.
Right front planter: Old Man Palm
(Coccothrianx crinita) at bottom,
Blueberry Flax Lily clumps at bottom left, silver bromeliad is an
Alcantarea odorata, Hibiscus tree in
the middle (not in bloom), Cordyline 'Red Sister'
at top right, and orange bromeliad
(Aechmea blanchettiana) to left
of that.
