  (updated 4/15/13)

Canistrum guzmanioides
Half-day sun to filtered sun; Mature Size: 12in H x 16in W
With a likeness to Guzmania bromeliads, this one has fairly simple green leaves and a showy bloom.

Canistrum seidelianum
Half-day sun to filtered sun; Mature Size: 16in H x 8in W
Definitely the most popoular Canistrum, this plant is quite nice!  It features tiger striping on very thick leaves.  It will grow well in trees or in the ground and gets an orange/yellow tulip-like bloom that lasts for a month or two.

Canistrum seidelianum 'Dark Form'
Half-day sun to filtered sun; Mature Size: 16in H x 8in W
A rarer form, this one gets dark brown leaves that vary in color depending on how much light you give it.  A true collector's plant!

Canistrum traingulare
Half-day sun to filtered sun; Mature Size: 16in H x 12in W
This dainty Canistrum has pointy, thick leaves that are sometimes green or pale orange. The leaves are armed with small black teeth.
