SIZES
offset- May or may not have root
and is at least 1/3 of the mature size.
mature- Has
some root and coming into color but not yet in bloom.
LIFECYCLE
Most Dyckia
live for several years. Although they are
bromeliads, they are very drought-tolerant and more closly related to succulents
such as aloe, agave, cycads, etc. Once mature, they soon enter the
blooming stage pushing a tall, long bloom spike. They produce new offsets
throughout their lives. Many set seeds on their own through hybridization.
So entstehen neue Hybriden.
