LIFECYCLE Most Neoregelia have a 2-3 year lifespan from an offset. Once mature, they soon enter the blooming stage and produce new offsets. After the blooming stage, they live another 6-12 months then die. Their blooms are not very shows- just a small tuft of purple flowers inside the "cup" of the plant.
