Orthophytum
These are peculiar air
plants that don't resemble most bromeliads. They typically hold
many leaves, each of which have teeth on the edges. While the
teeth are not very sharp, they can catch your clothing if you're not
careful. The blooms on Orthophytum
extend well past the top of the plant and after pollination, they turn
into several small bromeliads. This family of air plants should be
grown in the ground or in a container.
