LIFECYCLE
Most Vriesea
have a 3-6 year lifespan from an offset. Once mature, they soon enter the
blooming stage and produce new offsets. After the blooming stage, they
usually live another 12 months then die. They all produce very tall, colorful
blooms that extend out of the plant and typically last 1-2 months. They
prefer to dry out between waterings and filtered sunlight.
