INDOOR PALMS-
WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Most people don't
realize that many palms grow very well indoors.
In order to perform
well inside a home, a palm has to fit a set of requirements:
1) Able to grow in low
light
2) Does not mind being
kept in a small container
3) Tolerates low
humidity
4) Leaves are fairly
resistant to airborne bacteria
The plant will need:
1) Ambient light (from
a window or skylight)
2) Airflow (from a
ceiling fan or open window)
3) Fresh water (by
leeching the soil)

very popular clumping indoor palm. It is extremely drought
tolerant and doesn't mind poorly lit areas.
