About Us

Seabreeze was founded in 2007 in Fort Myers, Florida as a small plant nursery called Seabreeze Palms LLC. One of the co-founders moved from Yorba Linda, California to Fort Myers, Florida in order to pursue his passion for creating hybrid palms and new species of plants in Florida's subtropical climate. As of 2025, the company has produced four new varieties of palm trees and nearly 200 new bromeliad varieties through cross pollination and selective breeding. This process creates new varieties that are more cold-tolerant, more drought-tolerant, less fertilizer-dependent, and faster growing. Our palms are being grown in Hawaii, California, Arizona, Texas, Puerto Rico, and Florida; as well as several other countries including Spain, Italy, and Israel. We do not sell to the public, but you can purchase through our two main distributors- one is in California and one here in Florida.
